Madison Jean

Madison is officially 3 months old now. As always, I cannot believe it, and how fast time goes. At her 2 month checkup Madison weighed in at a healthy 13lbs and 24" long. The doctor says she looks wonderful and is making good progress. She is always smiling at us and her big brothers, if the house is too quiet she starts crying. Of course I love dressing her up, not sure she loves it, but for now she has to put up with me. I figure she will be able to voice her opinions soon enough and I will take advantage while I can (ha ha)! I thought I would share some random pictures of Madison through her first 3 months. ENJOY!!

Pottery

Justin and Jacob got to do pottery for their preschool field trip in February. The boys each got to decorate a ceramic tile. They first got to choose 6 different colors of paint, then they were able to paint their own tiles. Once the paintings are finished they were glazed, fired, and returned to the kids as a Valentines gift for their parents.

Below are some pictures from the pottery store. I will be sure to add the finished products once they are returned to us. The boys just have so much fun at preschool. Ms. Jones is a wonderful teacher and works so well with the kids.

Sesame Street Live

So this morning, Josh and I took Justin and Jacob to the Fox Theatre to see Sesame Street Live. The play was "Elmo Makes Music".....The story was about Jenny, a Music Teacher and she is moving to Sesame Street. Her truck full of instruments didn't make it, so the Sesame Street gang pull together and give Jenny a big music show with homemade instruments. Just as they finish their big show, Jenny's truck arrives with all of her favorite musical instruments.

Here are some pictures from the show.

Hooray for Bowling!!

Justin and Jacob had their bowling field trip with preschool today. It was the very first time either one of them have ever bowled. Both boys had a lot of fun. Jacob was the first group to bowl with all his friends, and Justin was in the afternoon with all of his friends.

Jakey bowled a 67 today, and bowled with his friends George, and Lucas. Justin bowled a 77 and bowled with his friends Alex V., Alex W., and Eric.
Here is Justin and Jacob posing with their super cool bowling shoes.

Yeah for Jacob!!!!!!

Hooray for Jacob! We have been trying to get Jakey to use the potty for a little while now to no success. Even though his big brother got to wear cool spiderman, superman, & spongebob underwear, jakey has wanted nothing to do with going on the potty. With Madison arriving, I figured I had better put the whole potty training thing on hold. Well today, nikki was able to get him to go successfully on the potty several times! He continued to use the potty even once mommy and daddy came home from work. We are so happy for him, and will be thrilled to no longer have to buy diapers. We are tentatively planning his potty party at Chuck E Cheese for next week. For now we will continue the hershey kisses and keep our fingers crossed for more successes.

Back To Work

Well the day came.....faster than I would have liked, but it snuck up on me. Of course, now that I am back, it feels like I never left. I have to admit, I do love my job, the company is in a really good place right now, and all kinds of exciting changes are happening. It's nice having time away from the house, I just wish it wasnt for so many hours, yeah I guess I want the best of both worlds.

Justin and Jacob are back to school, and things seem to be settling down. It's been a little busy with Madison's arrival, the Holidays and all of that excitement, its nice to feel a little bit of calmness settling in again. If that's at all possible with 4 kids, 4 and under (ha ha)! Somedays, I think, I dont know how we do it, but it just seems to work, we just keep on keepin' on as someone has told me. You just have to.

I was recently inspired by the movie the bucket list to come up with my own bucket list. I slightly modified the concept and decided to come up with 5 things that I want to accomplish in 2008 and then 10 things I would like to accomplish before I die. I was then inspired to have Josh do the same and we can help each other work towards accomplishing our goals. It's kind of motivating, and it feels a little better than making one of those new year resolutions that are usually out the window by the third week of January. I will share my list with you, and post Josh's when he has come up with his.

That's all for now, stay tuned, next week is Justin and Jake's field trip to the bowling alley, I'm sure I will have lots to say after that. Plus Joey and Madison go for their well baby visits!!!

Love Ya!!
